In the very heart of the Ardèche Canyon, on 500m pathway you will be amazed by the immensity of this cave’s galleries, the wealth of its concretions including the bewitching limestone basin (gour)waterfall which is unique in Europe.
It was classed as a national natural heritage site in 1934 for its geological and archaeological interest. It is one of the most huge network in France with 60 kms of interconnected galeries and chambers on different level. The network was formed by an ancient underground river.
